COVID-19 Guidelines

BBL Families:

As we all continue to deal with implications from covid, the league is committed to making sure everyone feels welcome and as safe as possible playing baseball.  As an outdoor sport with natural distancing built in, it's a great way for kids to be active with limited contact and exposure opportunities. We also have modified the rules slightly to 1) allow teams to play without a minimum player count so that no one feels pressured to attend if they aren't feeling well and 2) to allow players to sit either in the dug-out or with their families should they want more distancing than would be typical in the dug-out.

We follow all current state, county and school district guidance regarding masks and other mitigation measures.  Parents always have the ability to make decisions that best meet their comfort level and we ask that families consult with their own doctors in terms of staying home when sick or exposed to someone who is sick.  If your player has been told by a doctor or health official to quarantine, that quarantine would also apply to participation in baseball.  Currently, the MHSAA is not requiring masks for school baseball teams and we feel that we are allowing greater flexibility to families by allowing players to avoid sitting in the dugout during games, if preferred.  Further, players are, of course, free to wear masks if they choose to do so.
